The grand old original of Tenerife, built in 1932 and the second oldest course in Spain but it has moved with the times and has top class facilities. Just along from the north airport, Los Rodeos, the club has loads of charm and tradition.
The 5,694 metre course staged the 1964 Spanish Open and is lined with avenues of mature shady trees and large areas of shrubs to give it a delightfully natural look and feel.
The club has a large membership so play for non members is limited to Monday to Friday from 8am until 12.30. Green fees are 75 euros in the winter months, October to April, and 50 euros during the summer.Buggies can be hired for 30 euros and clubs for 14 euros.
Arriving at the course, you will find a large free car park and most people’s first stop is the large clubhouse. Chose between a snack in the café or a meal in the restaurant, or for that after the game celebration, there is always the bar and social area. For the latest in equipment and golf clothing, there is a well stocked shop and practice facilities include coaching to improve your game.
The course is 600 metres above the sea level and has long drives so there’s plenty of time to admire the scenery especially Mount Teide which looms large in the background. The climate in the north is cooler and more comfortable for playing and with a slightly better rainfall than the south, it boasts lush greens.
