Experience the wide open greens, the sea view across to La Gomera and one of the most modern and innovative courses in Tenerife. Designed by Pepe Gancedo in 1998, the course is built on former banana plantations and makes good use of the rows of plam trees, undulating hills, terraces and the original stone walls, one 5,000 metres long, adds lots of character to the setting.
Originally there were just 18 holes but in 2001 a new clubhouse was added along with an extra 9 holes on the Los Lagos course. Wide greens and natural obstacles such as lakes and craters make it a tricky course and helped to earn it the 2003 Spanish Open tournament.
The colonial style clubhouse is bright and spacious with large terraces to sit and watch the games going on. Training facilities are excellent with a practice bunker, 2 putting greens, and a chipping green and the best driving range on the island. The 45,000 square metre range is built into the hillside on 3 levels and has a lift, big enough to take the golfers and their buggy to their level.
The standard of golf here is pretty high and they help to lift players up to that level and maintain it. There are 3 professionals on site and a busy golf school where you can take courses from just 50 minutes for 42€ to a 5 day advance course for 360€.
Green fees vary from winter, October to April inclusive, to summer, and also depend on which course you chose, the original championship 18,or 9 from there and the 9 from the later Los Lagos addition. In Summer, prices are championship, 55€ (18 holes) and 35€ (9) or Los Lagos 30€ (18) and 22€ (9). Winter prices are, championship, 85€ (18 holes) and 48€ (9) or Los Lagos 32€ (18) and 15€ (9) Buggies are 35€ for 18 holes and there are various reductions for buying season tickets and junior rates.
